The holiday is almost over, and we had lots of fun in the past few days. We enjoyed going to the aquarium and the zoo, but those weren’t the best.
One night we had the light off and getting ready for bed. The light from the stairway ceiling shone and illuminated our leaf pattern curtains, so the room was dim yet visible. I saw Hannah leaning against a pile of pillows near the sofa bed. She chattered something but we couldn’t understand those words. She paused for a while then broke the silence with the most tender voice. “Goodnight, mommy and daddy” she said. I thought that moment was wonderful, touching and fulfilling.
What else more can I ask for from this week of holiday?
